Donate to ZSL

Our world is home to unique and diverse forms of life, yet sadly many are disappearing and we stand to lose the wide variety of life that makes it so special.

We need your support to protect wildlife such as the gentle prehistoric pangolin, which has the unenviable title of the world's most illegally-traded mammal.

ZSL General Donation

Pangolins date back 80 million years yet they are now critically endangered with 100,000 being trafficked each year due to demand for their meat and their scales. With your support we can work with on-the-ground conservationists and key decision makers, helping to protect pangolin habitats and challenge demand for their meat through education and anti-poaching action.

Along with helping to protect the gentle pangolin, your donation could also fund a wide range of ZSL projects:

  • £3 - Could power a satellite controlled camera, capturing key data such as the effects of climate change on Antarctic penguins.
  • £5 – Could pay for extra food enrichment for our endangered pygmy hippos at both our zoos found at both zoos.
  • £10 – Could provide veterinary training and resources to support our work in the field.
  • £25 - Could pay for the annual vaccinations of two of our Sumatran tigers at ZSL London Zoo.
  • £100 – Could fund two weeks of time for our field staff working with endangered Asiatic lions in India
  • £500 – Could buy an entire camera to help monitor animal populations and behaviour
  • £1,000 - Could build a well at one of our field bases in Indonesia
